Its Christmas time again ❤ this year feels as though it as flown by, does anyone else feel that way too? I put up our first Christmas tree in the house, scroll down to see it! We got a real one from Ikea and the moment you enter the house it smells amazing, plus I got loads of Christmasy candles to add on to that scent.
On another note, homemade chocolate has been on my to do list forever and I am so bummed I didn’t get to it sooner as it so SO easy and yummy!
Anyone who does not have dairy in their diet knows alternative milk can get pricey, especially if you want it to be naturally sweetened and organic. There has been a couple of recipe disasters before this but I have to say I found this to be the the easiest, creamiest and AND much cheaper than a store bought version, so definitely a win!
Also can you ever have enough coconut in your diet? or body? or face! Never.
My ultimate, all time weakness has always been chocolate, I cannot resist it and cannot have enough of it! So when I started my plant based journey it was key for me to ‘healthify’ (Is that even a word?) my chocolate cravings
I love taking these to Iftars I am invited to, gives everyone a healthier option for dessert.
Also these are great brekky if you are in a rush!
2 ingredients raspberry sorbet – yes you heard that right, 2 ingredients!! This was part of my valentine dessert dinner along with strawberries dipped in vegan chocolate. For my valentine menu check out this post http://zaatarandquinoa.com/2015/02/15/spinach-lentil-salad/ Continue reading
If you are looking for a super healthy hearty dinner, look no further than a Vegan Shepherds Pie! I’ve wanted to make this recipe for a while but it has been on the back burner. The weekend is always a good time for me to try out new recipes 🙂
Sticking to my clean eating this January, when I wanted something sweet I knew raw dessert was the way to go! Inspired by FullyRawKristina ,I attempted the raw carrot cakes.
I couldn’t believe something so simple could taste SO good!!
Happy new year! A new year always brings in new resolutions while I respect everyone who has one, I try to just be healthy every day of the year regardless of the date. 2014 has been a great year of many highs, one where I married my best friend, worked on my blog and traveled to places I never thought I would!
I had a small dinner party last week and decided to give Batata harra a try. It was quite difficult to get the recipe quite right without using so much oil but in the end turned out quite good!
The batata harra was one part of my mezza, here are some of the others. My Lebanese Vegan Mezza ❤
Batata harra, Tabbouleh, eggplant dip aka mutabel and hummos
Our blender at home has been broken for the last couple of weeks so when it was fixed, I was so excited to start making my soups/smoothies again!
This recipe has been on the to do list for a while, a mushroom soup and must be creamy!
I come home from work hungry most days and want something easy, healthy and quick! This is by far the easiest dinner I ever have to make and surprisingly addictive!
